DIY at home dining: Sushi
Prep: Bamboo mat
Seaweed wraps
Your choice in toppers- already prepared shrimp, crab, or salmon
Avocado
Soy Sauce
Prepare choice of shrimp, crab, salmon per the source’s directions- wash, grill, steam, cook, raw use- always check the prep directions for eating.
Steam your sushi rice
Slice avocado per desired width and ready, set, roll!
Lay bamboo mat flat on counter and place a seaweed wrap on top
Layer your choice of ingredients onto seaweed wrap in even layers
Rice
Your choice of prepared toppers- examples Shrimp, Crab or salmon
Avocado
Drizzle of Soy Sauce
Roll up together in the seaweed wrap tightly using bamboo mat as roller.
Slice into ¾ to an inch and enjoy!

Sunomono sweet & sour style Japanese cucumber salad.
Prep: Select ripe Japanese cucumber
Sea salt
Rice wine
Soy sauce
Sugar
Sesame seeds
Shredded carrot
Make a marinade using
3tbsp Rice wine
3tbsp Soy sauce
1tsp sugar
Slice Japanese cucumber to 1/3 to ¼-inch in size slices and place in marinade and mix around to get all the cucumbers covered in the marinade.
Remove the cucumber slices from marinade and sprinkle with sea salt, sesame seeds and shredded carrot.

A pitcher of infused water will be a refreshing compliment to all your special occasion dishes. You can add your choice of ripe fruits
A top favorite is a pitcher of water with sliced lemon and mint leafs
The citrus adventure
As some call it due to the matter of fruits ripe at time of making, is another big hit.
Delicious combinations of oranges, tangelos and pineapple or lemon, lime, orange for example.
Slice fruit/ and place in pitcher of water, give it a stir and its ready to enjoy throughout the day.
Breakfast- Blueberry Muffins and Cinnamon Almonds.
What you'll need
Preheat oven to 400
Bake time is 18-24mins
Makes a baker's dozen
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup oil
1/3 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups flour
Per your taste-1/3 to 1/2 cup of sugar
1/3 teaspoons baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
Desired amount of blue berries- 2/3 to 1 cup usually

Slightly beat eggs with milk
Add in oil
Sift in the (that means slowly add in)
2 cups flour
1/4 to 1/2 cup of sugar
1/3 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
Mix well and then fold in blue berries
or your desired features such as banana and crushed walnuts

Fill muffin/baking cups no more than 1/2 way no less than 1/3
Bake, cool & enjoy
Cinnamon Almonds-
Bring about a cup of water with a teaspoon butter or oil to a boil, while bringing to boil slightly break up almonds, (slice an apple optional) place in med. size bowl and sprinkle with cinnamon and ginger.
Carefully place in boiling water, lower heat & simmer on med heat until water steams out 75% (Your stove is pending on the time 15-20mins average to steam apples and soften almonds up just a little bit) Remove from heat and (optional add a 1/4c of oats and stir in good), cover for 3-5 minutes, stir and serve in a bowl or ice cream dish with a sprinkle of brown sugar and drizzle of honey.
Lunch-
Salad and Loaded Garlic Bread
Salad-
Leafy Greens, Cucumber, Sweet Peas, Tomato, Spring Onions and Yellow Bell Pepper. Top with Minced Garlic and Your Choice- Sliced Hard Boiled Eggs, Cheese and Bacon
Helpful suggestion- Boil eggs the night before or early in the day for easy slicing at lunch
Loaded Garlic Bread-
Mince garlic and 2*3 mini pearl onions, place in butter or olive oil and whip together.
Cut Organic pre-made French rolls in half and coat with garlic butter/oil mix, sprinkle with parsley
Broil for 2-5minutes depending on your oven. (Keep your eye on it, doesn't take much for them to burn on broil)
Dinner-
Try this recipe on a whole chicken or chicken breast- Just adjust cook time
Lemon Pepper Chicken and Red Roasted Herb Potatoes
Rinse Chicken in cold water and prep to season.
Set Chicken in baking dish among bedding of Sliced Red Bell Pepper and Lemon Grass.
Sprinkle Chicken with Sea Salt, Ground Black Pepper and Rosemary.
Cut Red Potatoes into cubes. Mix cubed potatoes in bowl with sea salt, ground black pepper, rosemary and diced red pepper (Amount to your taste).
Place potatoes around and under sides of chicken.
Add 1/4cup water for steaming potatoes.
Red Potatoes- Amount of potatoes is depending on your appetites. Typically 3-4 Med. size red potatoes.
For flavor inspiration and DIY motivation- Cook chicken at regular poultry standards, no adjusted temperatures but possible 5-10 minute added time differs, due to potatoes
On new recipes, monitor ending time to account for variations in altitude, ovens, portion size and so on.
Suggestion-(A dash of white wine and olive oil is a delightful additive to baking this dish.)
